I can’t say enough about JC & Glenda’s rooftop wedding at the Downtown Banque Lofts and the Hyatt Regency. When Glenda and I met, we chatted about her wedding plans and I got to know a bit more about her long anticipated engagement to JC. And when the day for the big question finally came, Glenda was a bit peaved at her fiance-to-be and her best friend for being so secretive with her. But it all made sense in the end. Glenda knew right away that she had to book me for her early fall wedding and wasted no time in securing those details.

On the wedding day, I knew I found my kind of people. There wasn’t a big production out of what posed portraits to take, detail shots, or other things to check the box on. This was just a group of people hanging out in preparation and celebration of JC and Glenda. Everyone around them shared a bit of the same excitement for the couple as they start they exchanged vows….and probably the party that would come afterward.

Somewhere around 5 years ago I had a vision of taking a bride and groom out to some of the most spectacular New Mexico landscape that I knew of for a session. I had a picture in my head of a long veil, a blue sky, and an expanse of gray New Mexico clay hills anchoring it all together. I had gone out to this location a few other times for shoots but on this day it was a bit different. David and Kris booked me for their wedding day coverage with this day-after vision in mind so I knew I had to dig deeper. I will start by showing off their day-after session images – because sometimes its fun to have dessert before your dinner. 😉

Tomas and Alex’s wedding was such a special, emotion-driven, and fun-filled day. The setting was special to Tomas’ family since the Luna Mansion is part of his family heritage. Family and friends all came together to make this day so memorable. We even got to do a day-after session out on the mesa. The session featured everything I love about shooting in the high desert -> sweeping views of the New Mexico landscape, a couple in love, a setting sun, and the glow of warm candlelight.

Nichole and Matt’s wedding at the historic Hotel Andaluz in downtown Albuquerque made for the perfect setting for this fun, genuine, and a bit off-beat couple to share their celebration of marriage with friends and family.

Sometimes formals aren’t so formal 😉

David and Steffi chose Durango, CO as their halfway point to have guests, family, and friends to meet to share in the celebration of their marriage. Most of the guests were able to stay a few days at Silverpick Lodge which made for a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

David and Steffi have such an inviting and warm spirit that is reflected around them in their family and friends. Even when the rain started coming down during the ceremony, there were lots of smiles and laughs as guests anxiously waited for the bride and groom to say I do.

Rather than talking about how fun, sweet, and cool this loving couple is – I will jump right into the photos!

There is so much to say and to love about Don and Melissa’s wedding day at El Monte Sagrado in Taos, NM. The whole drive through northern New Mexico calms your mind a bit and is punctuated by scenic vistas around each new highway turn. The beautiful and serene surroundings continue to when you arrive in Taso and are welcomed by a beauty that only New Mexico can perfect. The day was perfect as Melissa put on her finishing touches in the suite and waiting to walk down the aisle to greet her new husband. The picture perfect day ended with the opportunity to photograph the bride and groom under the super moon. <3

Just a month and a half before Aubrey was to walk down the aisle at the Ridgewood Event Center, we met on the rural backroads of New Mexico for a country styled bridal session. Aubrey is the type of gal that has a quiet elegance and grace to her which complemented the serene beauty of the desert southwest.
